The Academy for Classical Education is a K-12 charter school located in Macon, Georgia.
Opening in August, 2014, we have already developed many athletic programs. Over the past two years our parents have raised over $200,000 to build Friends Field. Using that money, we have built a baseball/softball field and soccer/football field. Our next phase will focus on fencing the complex for both competitive play as well as to protect the fields.
Our fencing costs and final site work (added irrigation, drainage control, extra sod, etc.) will total approximately $60,000.
Two major donors have stepped forward with $30,000 in contributions. Both parties have asked us to consider the donations in terms of "matching funds."
