"I have no words to describe my thanks for how incredibly generous each and every one of you are. I am truly in awe of how readily good friends, old friends, acquaintances and even complete strangers donated to help me and my family in our time of need. I start physical therapy today and though I know it won't be easy, knowing that I have a support system as large and as caring as this will definitely drive me to get well as quickly as possible. So thank you, thank you all 1,000 times. I will never forget this."
This morning I set up this page for donations and set a goal that I thought would be hard to reach, but here we are only five hours later and I am completely humbled by the love and support from Jessica's friends, family, and coworkers. I have had a few people ask how long donations will be accepted and as of now I will leave the page open at least until Jessica is out of the hospital (which is still TBD), so PLEASE keep sharing and spreading the word! I have also increased our goal, I know we can do this to help such an amazing woman! Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart, we love you Jessica! Keep fighting, we are all behind you!
Most recent update, our prayers are working!!
"To those asking about Jessica Via the diagnosis is as follows:
lacerated liver (surgery went well, no more bleeding) and punctured lung both caused by one of the almost all ribs being broken on her right side. Also some possible broken bones in her foot (doc said foot wasn't at the top of the priority list based on her other injuries, but will be looked at further today). She has a chest tube draining the blood from her lung and they moved us out of ICU about three hours ago. She's been awake and alert the whole time, just in a lot of pain. So, the plan is for her to rest and get strong so she can get the tube taken out and go home in a few days. Thanks for all of your prayers, texts, and messages. Her phone was lost in the accident so I've been relaying your concerns and love back to her. She feels lucky to be alive and to have so many people that care about her!!"
Jessica has a long road of recovery ahead of her and many have been asking what they can do to help. What better way than to take away the worry of how to pay for her increasing medical bills! Any donation, small or large, would be a huge help to this beautiful mama as she fights to overcome her injuries from this tragic accident!
