Be the Change Volunteer Trip!

Under the Save the World Tour, I will be embarking on a 8 week journey to Be the Change.  Currently, I'm working as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant within the pediatric field specializing in sensory integration.  I am also graduating with my Bachelor's of Health Sciences in April of 2014.  To enhance my ability to serve others in my field and to bring sensory integration into areas of the world that may not have ever heard of it, I will Be the Change.  I plan to visit Auckland, New Zealand where I will be volunteering at a special needs school to help students become more independent and comfortable with school activities. Next, I'm heading to Thailand to volunteer at Elephant Nature Park and help improve the plight of the Asian elephant.  The park provides sanctuary for disabled, blind, and orphaned elephants that have often been abused as working animals and street begging.   My last leg of my Save The World Tour will be spent in Kenya at a primary school in a rural village helping children learn English.

Mission of the Save the World Tour: To journey across the World lending a helping hand and carrying unconditional love and kindness to those in need through volunteering. To return to the United States with first-hand knowledge of the social, economical, and environmental issues around the world and to use the knowledge gained during trip to continue to make a positive change in a bigger way...
