Back to Africa!

I'm headed back to Malawi, Africa again this year, and I would love to have your support and prayer if you are able to provide. My church, in partnership with Children of the Nations, is doing incredible things for the villagers there by way of offering education, building/ restoring homes, feeding the poor, and providing clean water. If you're interested in reading about my trip last year, here is a blog post I wrote for my church once we returned.

The project I'll be a part of this year is to replace 5-8 thatched roofs in Mgwayi village with metal ones that we will assemble. This will be tremendous for the people there, because thatched roofs, as the villagers currently make them, are unable to provide adequate covering during the 6+ months that Malawi is in its rainy season. This means that villagers must often stand up at night or sleep outside their shelter until the puddles from their mud floors subside. This wet inside environment also harbors mosquitos which makes the families much more susceptible to contracting malaria and other diseases.
