Help Us Save Rabbits

Each spring, shelters and rescues receive a surge of unwanted rabbits who were given as poorly planned Easter gifts. 95% of rabbits who are purchased as Easter gifts will die within the first year due to children loosing interest as well as lack of education about how to care for these delicate animals. This year we plan to offer free plush rabbits in front of one of the largest pet stores in Virginia and we hope that by presenting people with this alternative gift, along with free educational materials about rabbit care, we will prevent the impulse purchases that end so tragically for these animals.

It is our goal to purchase 100 plush animals for our giveaway, and I have worked with a toy distributer who is willing to give us a discount of 15% for this order. Here is a link to the plush rabbit that we plan on purchasing:

It's cute! If we can get 100 people to donate 5 dollars each, that will give us enough money to purchase 100 plush rabbits at the discounted rate, and will also cover the printing costs of the important educational materials that will accompany each plush rabbit.
