Help me fly to my Film's World Premiere!
I just found out my film, PILOTO (fka THE FLIGHT PLAN) is going to be making its World Premiere on March 16th in Cartagena, Colombia and I want to attend! The challenge is, I don't have the funds available on short notice to support the international travel!
In addition, I'm reaching out to local Colombian friends and hotels that offered me possible free stays upon my return, but at present the flight is the biggest holdup:
Please donate and help me make this visit a reality! The target amount will go towards the flight/travel expenses, food and any miscellaneous expenses that pop up last minute (flight price increase, possible stay overnight in layover city of Panama City, gofundme fees, more food -- I eat a lot, and so forth).
"¨"¨I spent most of the summer in 2012 in Colombia working on this movie, and it was an incredible experience. Our movie took over the city of Cartegena, and the local support was nothing short of amazing. It is such an honor for us to premiere in the same city that showed us so much love, and I want to be there to represent the film as one of the Official Selections of The Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias.
"¨"¨I play the lead character of the film, Benjamin Gray, who is an anxiety-ridden, commercial airline pilot, who finds himself stranded in Cartagena, Colombia after his documents and ID are stolen, with only two days to make it back to the US in order to save his dying son."¨"¨
The festival will be hosting several special guests including; Legendary Director, John Sayles, Director Alejandro González Iñárritu and Actor Clive Owens to name a few (Just promise you'll donate to my donation campaign before theirs, lol).
"¨"¨From the moment I learned I booked this film, I began journaling to share my various experiences. I ended up with close to 40 videos which I began posting from my first experiences with the film: Journal Videos Playlist. These videos went all the way through the end of production, and in tradition, I will promise to journal my experience in Cartagena for the festival!
