Filling Formula for Baby Kinzie

San Antonio baby, Kinzie, was born with a genetic and chromosome disorder called tracheoesophageal atresia. This means that the upper part of her esophagus is connected to the trachea and the lower part of the esophagus is not connected to the stomach as it should be. Because of this she can't swallow and digest food, therefore she has to be fed through a tube in her stomach. This requires the use of 2 types of specialized feeding bags for her formula, for each of her 7 feedings per day. A one month supply of these bags cost $2500. Kinzie's current insurance will only cover 2 of these bags per day, the additional bags must be purchased by the family. To avoid infection, the bags can only be used once.

Kinzie and her family are in need of some help. Both her Mom and Dad work full time so her grandparents help out as much as possible so Kinzie and her twin sister Aria don't have to go to daycare. Kinzie is a strong, beautiful baby who loves sitting in her bouncy chair and playing with her grandfather.



The Drott Agencies are working alongside Any Baby Can to provide this family with a one month supply of these specialized bags. The family is working with Kenzie's doctor and their additional insurance company to see if more of these bags can be covered. But, until then, we are doing what we can to help out this lovely family. The goal is for Kenzie to get stronger and a little older so she can handle surgery to correct this problem.
