Judy was attacked by a Pit Bull!

My name is Sherri Tanner. I am trying to help my friend Judy Cagle who was recently attacked along with her little dog Opie by a Pit Bull. She had to spend her rent money (she doesn't have insurance) to pay for her doctor bills, prescriptions, and the vet bill for Opie.  She is also unable to work due to the mauling. Here is what happened:  She and her little doggy were standing outside Wednesday (Feb. 19) morning on her front porch. The pit bull runs down the street from the house which is two houses up from hers and heads over to her neighbor Harold's house. Harold lives directly across from her. Then, the dog spots Judy and her doggy on her porch and fast as lightning, heads toward them. He attacks her doggy on the neck and Judy dives over her doggy to save him. That's when the pit bull attacks Judy's arm. Harold sees what is happening and rushes over to try to get the dog off of Judy. He has a very hard time getting the dog off of her. When he does, he ties a rope around its neck and drags it over to his house and ties it up until help comes. Blood is everywhere (all over Judy, her doggy, and the porch). The police, ambulance, and animal control come. The police go up to the pit bull owners house and talks to them, animal control takes the dog. Judy can't go in the ambulance because her doggy is in shock and she waits until her friend comes to stay with the doggy so she can go to be seen. Judy gets taken to the Reddy Clinic and the doctor says it's one of the worst he's ever seen. She has spoken to numerous attorneys about trying to get compensation for the medical expenses. Each attorney says that Georgia is one of the only states left where nothing can be done. It is so unfair for something like this to happen and nothing to be done about it. In the meantime, I will do whatever I can to help her in her time of need. If it were me or you in this predicament, I would hope the same would be done for us.
