In memory of Kenny Lazo
My son's father, Kenny Lazo, was brutally murdered by Suffolk County Police (officer William Judge, officer Joseph Link, officer Christopher Talt, officer John Newton and officer James Scimone) in April of 2008.
To this day, the murderers are still patrolling the streets as men who are supposed to uphold the law.
Every year we have organized to raise awareness of the rampant Police Brutality in Long Island, and nationwide.
As a result, many individuals and families have stepped forward to share their experience of police violence.
We hope to continue in our effort to raise awareness and demand justice.
This year, we need to raise a round about total of $2000.00 (USD) to keep our efforts going.
The monies raised will pay for the supplies needed for our fundraising events and the day of the Annual Anti-Police Brutality march on April 12th, 2014.
Below is an itemized budget:
Bus(to transport people from NYC to LI)
Fundrasier event costs
Materials for the protest
Chinese lanterns
Tealights
Wood crosses
Flyers
Spray paint
Cardboard
Markers
Photos & frames
Website costs
T-shirts & Hoodies
Sound Equipment
Total: $2000
