We are in disbelief at the help my daughter and her family have received because of this fund! This is beyond anything we could have imagined. It has brought hope to my daughter and her family again. They are supremely thankful and are in complete shock because of all of this. My grandsons first birthday is this Saturday so they are trying to turn their attention to making that a big hit! From my family to yours, whether you donated or not, thank you for taking the time to become aware of the situation and spread the word. Kalin and Krysta were interviewed by KATU News once again this evening and we expect them to be on at 11PM tonight. Thanks again to you all!

We have reached our goal of $1000.00! We cannot believe the generosity people are showing right now! We want to get the word out there as well; beware of these scams! Thank you, to everyone! Let's keep the ball rolling in hopes of this hard-working family getting the break they deserve!

My daughters family was scammed into renting a foreclosed home from a man who claimed to be the owner of the home. They spent all of their savings on what they believed was the downpayment for the house. After signing a lease and giving the man (who claimed to be named Matt McCarty) $1000.00 in cash, they were given the key to the home. The next day, while painting and ripping carpet out of the home, a man from HUD knocked on the door and informed them that the home was in foreclosure and was going up on the market to be sold the following week. This past year has already proved to be beyond difficult for them; their son was born with Congenital Heart Disease and has required two open heart surgeries. He has also had a stomach operation because he was born with twisted intestines. Furthermore, he was diagnosed with a chromosomal abnormality known as 47,XYY (Jacob's Syndrome). They were looking forward to moving to provide a more open space for their son to grow up in. We are trying to raise back the money they gave to this scammer to help them get the home they need. Anything you can spare to help this family get the home they deserve would be great for not only my daughter and son-in-law, but my grandson as well. They have been through way too much and they need all the help they can get. Thank you!

To this family: i just wanna start by saying i am a single mother of 3 beautiful healthy girls and i feel very blessed and lucky they havent had any med. problems. im so so so very sorry that you have been given a harder path in life :( but im sure you guys will make it through, i can tell by all the possitively beautiful spirit and attitude you still manage to have, stick 2gether you'll make it! And 2nd of all i wish i had a way to send atleast a little money to help but i dont have cards or checks i only handle cash, so if any one has an idea on how to still donate please let me no. and as for the VERY WILDLY RUDE & IN APPROPRIATE comment left earlier i am shocked that a grown A** women could say such a thang. i can see alot of ppl falling for something like this, maybe it was shaddy but all the ppl that are donating and helping and leaving poss. comments proves that there really are good ppl out there and im sure you just thought this guy saw your struggles and felt he could help your family out! I no that im deff. the kind of person that if i owned a home and could rent it to a family like yours thats been through this i would most deff have given you or who ever a (too good to be true deal) bcuz like i said its just not that uncommon for ppl to wanna help other ppl. So anyways, i really hope you guys get enough money to get a place and have extra just so its there when and if you need it! God knows you 3 totally 100% deserve to be comfortable and stress free

I would like to thank everybody for their generous donations. It has cheered us up and relieved quite a bit of stress. Let us be thankful we can unite together and help each other when needed. I will pay this forward when I have the ability to. It is unnecessary to converse with negative people; they feed on drama they are trying to cause to be begin with. I am forever thankful for the understanding and love, support, and care that has came our way. Thank you to all my friends, family, and even strangers for their helping hands. The positive side to all of this is that my son Kayson is too young to realize what's going on and will not remember it. We are forever grateful. The Kendall family sends their love and thanks to you all.

Donna, you are a piece of work. A broken piece for sure. How dare you judge MY daughter and her husband and special needs grandson. It's people like you that make people like me, reach out and help people instead of talking before knowing facts, which you did. I am sorry for you and hope you aren't so bitter that it comes to bite you in your ass. You are the voice of the low down pond scum of the human race. you my dear, and all that are like you, which only makes the GOOD in people shine. You are horrible. You are sickening. And you're a special kind of idiot. Love, Krysta's Mother. Tracie Keelan

I'm proud of you Krysta! Donna, you've got issues! These are young adults trying to be independent. You know nothing about them at all! They've been through so much and you have no idea! Mind your business! I hope one day you don't need help from others????

I am proud of Krysta & Kalin surrounding this whole situation. Sure they made some bad decisions but then who hasn't at some level?? Apparently Donna you have some shortcoming in your own life which makes you feel better by picking on kids trying to get their lives on track. Kids, you know you're loved and cared about....don't ever forget that!!

I hope you all are doing well and that this fund helps you to get back on your feet. Please do not be discouraged by the negativity of some people. There are far more of us who understand the struggle and offer our support and positive wishes for you.

So glad to see all of the support for this young family. I've said in other posts, if you can't say something nice, say nothing. I think we were all taught that saying in elementary school! I feel sorry for those that can't find kind words in their hearts. We've all struggled, but that should make us more supportive, not bitter! Donna, you really should delete your post. This family doesn't need words that slander them, they need words that support them. I hope they raise enough money to buy a house! Out of all bad comes something good!

Donna Benson, this was for a rental property not a purchase. How many meetings with a "Realtor" do you have for that? If you are going to make matters worse by posting negative comments, do the right thing and don't comment at all. My goodness, at least get your facts straight and read and comprehend the article so your snide, hateful comments actually relate. I feel sorry for you. Obviously you have had some life experiences that have contributed to your lack of carrying for others. God loves you anyway, and if you ask, He will even forgive you. God bless you and have a very nice day!! :)

Wow Donna, you must have a lot of hate in your heart to come on here and chastise a YOUNG family that's struggling. Shame on you! What a nasty person you are!
