Fight Against Wasteful Incinerator
Herefordshire and Worcestershire County Council's are proposing to build a waste-burning incinerator in the lovely village of Hartlebury at huge cost and when there are better and lower cost alternatives. They are cutting £120 million from public services, but committing us to spend £1.6 billion on this venture until 2042. We will be burning waste we could recycle and compost, plus the facility is arguably not needed due to spare capacity elsewhere. After 4 years of us the little people campaigning against this Goliath, we are near to the end of the road. Our last throw of the dice is to raise £35,000 to challenge this via judicial review, as we believe the process that has been followed has been flawed. The small village of Hartlebury has already raised and spent £45,000 fighting this, we now desperately need your help! Please give whatever you can to help us protect transparency, democracy, public finance, health and the environment. Thank you.
