Kenya Mission Trip 2014

Dear friends and family,
I have been given the opportunity to travel to Kenya to do mission work this summer and I wanted to share that opportunity with you.
I will be traveling to Naivasha, Kenya in June to work with One Love His Love, a non-profit that exists to serve the people of the world through God's love. In our two week time period we will build a drug & alcohol rehabilitation center, partner with Bright Star Primary School, and host two community health days where we will provide malaria testing and medicine.
Our goal of the trip is to serve in every way we can. Our main work with the school will be serving the teachers through helping with grading, teaching their students, hosting a teacher workshop, and making new posters for their classrooms. We want the rehabilitation center to be a place where people can get free from addiction and so we will be serving whole heartedly to get it finished as quickly as possible.
Doctors and medicine are also expensive, so our community health days will be a small but useful token to the community to get medicine that they would usually be denied. This will always be used an outreach to the area to tell them about God's love.
So I'm posting this to ask you and your family to partner with me. First and foremost, this trip will not happen without prayer. The team and I would not be able to do anything without God's power and love so we want to pray that His will gets accomplished.
I would also ask that you pray about supporting me financially. I have to raise $3500 to go on this trip and $1700 of that is due on April 11th so I can book my plane ticket.
It seems like a lot of money but I know that God is going to provide because He has given me confirmation about going on this trip and I know that He will come through.
It is truly by God's grace that I have been given this opportunity and I am humbled to serve Him in all my ways. I am excited for this opportunity and I hope that you will join in my praying for what God's going to do!
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
