In 2007, my husband and I made our first trek to Tanzania, Africa. It was an exhilarating experience enriched by the lives of the many brothers and sisters working to spread the love of Christ through their homeland. We have been given the amazing opportunity to return in December of 2014 and we would love for you to be a part of that mission!
We will be part of a group overseen by the Elders of the Church of Christ at Northport in Northport, AL who currently help support a mission work in Tanzania. Our plans are to leave late December and stay two weeks. During this time we will help build two buildings for congregations planted by the Mto-wa-Mbu congregation. While we know, a building is not necessary to worship the Lord our God, a place where a group of Christians can gather in shelter is truly a blessing. We are also planning many Bible studies throughout our two weeks and a meeting specifically for the Sisters and their friends who are interested in hearing more about the Gospel.
As you may have guessed, traveling to Africa, and supplying all the things we will use while there, is not going to be an inexpensive endeavor. However, we know that if God wills, everything will come together according to His purpose and the trip will be well funded.
Our current cost estimation is going to be $3,200 per person. ( x 2 for Chris & Myself) This will include air fare, lodging, some meals, building supplies, and other materials necessary to the work. You may have noticed that our online goal is significantly lower than that. While we know that the Lord will bless this work, we are seeking donations from a variety of sources and do not want you, the donor, to feel daunted by seeing so huge a number from the outset! This is simply our online goal. (and how amazing would it be if we surpassed it!) There are many ways to donate monetarily. If you feel more comfortable sending a check, you may send it to

Please prayerfully consider donating to this campaign. If you can only afford a little, give a little. If the Lord has blessed you more abundantly, give freely and know that your money will be well spent.
