For the first time in my life, I've learned to truly lean on people without guilt. I know I've earned the support of my family, friends and extended network, and I know my children and I deserve it.

Nearly four months ago, an incident occurred which lead me to leave my husband and home. My four children, two cats and I were graciously taken in by my parents for three months until their house sold.
The divorce has gotten ugly and I've been unable to negotiate on the family home, meaning because my husband has residence there, I have no rights to the house til marital property is divided in court. M y biggest mistake was leaving rather than asking him to leave - I say this in the hopes someone will learn from my experience.
I currently have a room in a friend's apartment while enrolled in college full time (taking only online courses for the semester.)
My three younger kids stay with me during the day and their dad at night. My oldest has been through the most, is staying with friends and sometimes with me. Our cats are staying with extended family.
We are blessed by an amazing support system, but being apart is hard and we need a permanent home.
Apartments are few and far between.
I've found a house that would be perfect for my children and I with a mortgage payment less than a reasonably sized apartment (which doesn't seem to exist in this area anyway.)
A family member will cosign the mortgage to help satisfy the banks requirements. Assuming the inspection goes well, the last hurdle will be making a down payment, which I know you can help me come up with by donating today.
