Help Daniel Fight His Seizures

Donation protected
Meet Daniel Smith, my big brother. That's his girlfriend in the picture with him, Meghan Craig. They are high school sweethearts and have been together for over 15 years. Daniel has been an absolute blessing to each and every person that he has touched. Throughout my life he has given me the ability to learn compassion, patience and a strong sense of humility.

Daniel has a pure and innocent heart. He does not hold grudges and he does not cast judgement. He only knows love. You can catch Daniel spending his free time singing to his favorite albums and engaging in various recreational activities with his friends. Daniel participates regularly in a bowling league and is a part of a social group called the Booster Buddies. Daniel has also been working part-time at Vons for the past 6 years where he loves to help customers and keep the store maintained. Daniel has always been extremely healthy and active throughout his life. He was involved with wrestling and cross country running at his high school. There was never a worry in the world for Daniel. It was him against the world and nobody could stop him.

However, the past 2 years Daniel has been experiencing severe seizures. They have become progressively worse. He suffers from extreme headaches that cause him to cry uncontrollably.  Growing up with my brother I have only experienced him cry a handful of times. He has an amazing tolerance to pain and most things never seemed to bother him that much. In the past 2 years I have lost count on the amount of times he has cried due to the pain he is experiencing. His seizures have become so frequent and extreme now that it is keeping him from work, friends, and an overall quality of life. This is heart-breaking to witness. The hardest thing to hear during this difficult time is the uncertainty from all of the doctors that Daniel has seen. Most visits always seem to end with, "your blood work looks great, your heart looks great, your brain activity looks great. You're ready to go back home now."

Our family and friends will not stop until Daniel has his life back. There are many other doctors and treatments available to Daniel but they are very costly. We are limited in what we can do for Daniel. However, with your help, the possibilities are endless.
