Leevi's Eagle Scout Project

Hi, I'm Leevi Reber. I'm 14 years old and am a Life Scout with Troop 299 in Bellevue, Nebraska. I currently volunteer at the Bellevue Public Library helping as a "Junior Friend" during their summer reading program. Because the library is such an important place in the community, and I want to improve and make the outside areas really nice, my family, scout troop, and I will be doing the following:

Placing a new bench near the butterfly garden
Taking out weeds in two garden areas
Planting new flowers
Taking out a dead tree and planting a new one
Putting in new mulch
Re-furbishing the "John E. Rice Library" sign
Sanding and re-staining four picnic tables that are used for many library functions and activities.

A lot of this is labor, but we will need to purchase some supplies, such as flowers, a tree, wood stain, brushes, and of course, the bench. Any extra money beyond the cost of the project will be donated to the Bellevue Public Library.
