This is because we are having issues with this site/paypal.
My sister has been rejected funding for one of the only suitable mental health hospital in the country.
It would seem that she doesn't meet the criteria for any NHS ward or unit.
This comes after years of being sectioned for suicide attempts and eating disorder related problems. She's had hundreds of hospital admisions, blood transfusions and IV lines.
She's attempted suicide 8 times. We've been told multiple times to prepare for her death. At one time, she even thought that we were plotting to murder her. And yet, she can't have the funding required to go to an appropriate unit.
We are therefore taking it in to our own hands to raise the £500,000-£1,000,000 needed to send her there, through news appeals, fundraising events etc.
She's given up hope on her life, but I never will!
Please give as much as you can and let me know if you need any more information, or want to help us by organising events etc! x
If in the next few weeks, the funding teams change their minds, or Emma gets send to a specialist NHS unit, donations will go to a related charity. Failing that, they will be used to fund treatment for Emma (short or long term), or be used to employ a leal team who can get Emma the specialist treatment she needs. We do not take your donations lightly, and will seek professional advice on how is best to proceed!
