Human Apartheid Wall

Imagine if your 30 minute commute to University took 3 hours? Or if you were sick and needed to go to the emergency room, but could not get past a checkpoint that separated your neighborhood from another?
This is what happens to Palestinians living in the West Bank.
Students for Justice in Palestine at Brooklyn College wants to educate college communities in the tristate area about the injustices that are occurring under Israeli apartheid. We plan to create a human apartheid wall that will create a mock wall and checkpoint that can be used for skits and participatory action.
The wall will be constructed out of heavy duty duck canvas and will require 8-16 participants to come together wearing a sandwich board sign panel. There will be graffiti and art done on the mock wall in an attempt to represent the real wall. We plan to use the Human Apartheid Wall for participatory actions at Brooklyn College, as well as other local SJP chapters in the area.
We need your help. The cost of creating this wall is about 300 dollars (this includes 20 yards of canvas, paint, and supplies). All donated money will go strictly to the supplies. Our allocated budget is going towards other great actions and we cannot afford to shoulder these expenses on our own. If you can afford to donate $3-5, you can help us raise the funds needed.
