Hello and thanks for reading our beloved friend Ingrid Monteiro's page.
Some of you may already know Ingrid but here's why so many of us are coming to help our dear friend and we need your help. Ingrid came to the United States from Dakar, Senegal at the age of 7 years old. She started singing at the age of 13 years old and has been singing for over twenty years. She has warmed our hearts with her amazing voice working with various international recording artists and bands such as Maria DeBarros, Suszanna Lubrano and is currently with CV Boys Band. When she is not singing, she is an amazing mother of six year old Soleil and is also a volunteer for various agencies. She has also been awarded for her community efforts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Recently, our dear friend Ingrid was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and it spread into her vocal cords.While she is undergoing treatment at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital, over 40 family, friends and organizations are coming together to help her beat this battle. We are holding two fundraising events in Rhode Island, but we wanted to create a way for her to continue to receive support.
As an International Recording Artist, Community Advocate and friend, she has blessed us with her beautiful voice and we want to bless her back!
