Adam Gerber Memorial Scholarship Fund

Donation protected
We are raising money in Adam Gerber's name. Adam was murdered..his body was discovered in the Everglades on November 4, 2008. He was only 33 years old.

All monies will be deposited into the Adam Gerber Memorial Scholarship Account where one US high school student will be selected to receive scholarship money to the school of their choice. The students selected will exhibit an amazing compassion for those less fortunate. We will be looking for students who are trying earnestly to make a difference in their community. If Adam were here, he would be walking right beside them.

About Adam.....click on the link to be taken to his memorial page.

Adam was always shy and quiet. He seemed to move at his own pace and had his own way of thinking. He was labeled as "slow" when he was a child from what I can remember...but he never appeared that way to me. I was closer to my cousin Rose (Adam's Sister) because Rose and I are closer in age. Adam was 8 years younger than me.

As we grew older, Rose and I still stayed in touch and because of that and I got to see Adam every now and then. He graduated from Coral Springs High School in Coral Springs and worked for Publix for 15 years. He really hadn't changed much. He was still shy in his 30's...but, that shyness would disappear if you started talking about his favorite pastime, Bowling. Adam was a 300 bowler and received a ring because of that achievement. He collected baseball cards as well.

Adam was very passionate about being a Christian and was a faithful member of Living Word Church. He would help anyone who needed it and did so with a pure heart. Unfortunately, Adam trusted very easily and unfortunately, trusted someone who had evil intentions. His body was found in the Everglades...weeks after his life was taken. It is this reason, that whenever I think of him, I can't help but cry. He was such a good soul. I will never understand....We miss you, Adam. You will always be in our hearts.
