Building a Forever Home for our Veterans

We come from a military family and have taken care of disabled veterans for over 22 years. My Dads (also a Veteran) dying wish was that go through with our plans to open a group home for veterans. We have worked hard to get the property and zoning has approved us being able to build this home on a property in Reno Nevada. It will cost slightly over the $120,000 goal to complete the project before the veterans can move in. This includes the $11,000 for the building permit, $95,000 for the house ( we are choosing a home company that are giving us an awesome price for the project) which will have 10+ handicap accessible rooms/bathrooms. Also covers required sprinkler system and building plan costs. We have the land, the labor and the furnishings covered, we just need help with the rest! Every little bit will help! Even if it is just $1. This project will provide much needed services for our veterans, even beyond housing. All of the Veterans in our home will receive personal in home health care both medical and non medical as well as each having their own individual care plan tailored to meet their specific needs. They will receive specialized services from Doctors, Counselors, psychologists, medications, transportation to hospitals and outside appointments will also be provided. The majority will be provided free of charge. There will be a eco-friendly sustaining garden, aroma therapy, equine therapy. Monthly donations are welcome as well since we are working to make this a non profit for our heroes!! Even if we do not reach our goal right away, we will continue to raise funds for the project and 100% of the funds collected will go directly to making this dream a reality.
