Hello,
My name is Danni Ryan. I am a senior psychology major and an employee at Build-a-Bear Workshop. I want this year to be one I can remember. Valentine's Day crossed my mind. Valentine's Day is somewhat looked over as a Hallmark Holiday. I want to change that. I want to make 100 bears for the kids at Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital. This is a great reminder for the kids that they are loved and thought about on the day that celebrates love
I know we all want to find a way to get involved and give back but sometimes that can be difficult. Here's my proposal: I challenge you to help raise money for this cause, not because it will give you some title or prize but because it's helping someone who needs some sunshine in their life. Children in the Pittsburgh's Children Hospital can suffer from a wide variety of illness, and they come from all kinds of families, families who are struggling to pay the bills so their child can survive.
Let's bring back the true meaning of love this Valentine's Day and give it to the people who need it the most, who will cherish it the most; kids.
