help us save our boy

8 years ago we adopted rommel, and he's become more than just an important part of our family. he's been a loyal companion, a sleeping partner, a playmate, a walking buddy, and so much more. just yesterday (1.27.14) i had my heart broken when my family had to rush him to the vet to find out that he had fluid in his lungs and was going into heart failure. we brought him to a specialist today and were informed that our boy has lymphoma. while lymphoma is treatable, the treatments are going to be costly. my father works a seasonal job, my mother was laid off and is collecting unemployment and i work retail part time. we don't know how we're going to be able to afford the treatments to keep our dog alive. rommel has been my best friend, and if you've ever met him you know that he is an extremely special dog. every single night i fall asleep with him cuddled up in my arms, i wouldn't be able to sleep without him. he deserves to live the rest of his life as he has been so far; healthy, happy, and loved. please help me save my sleeping partner.
