poppy's appeal

This page has been set up to help raise money to pay for operations for my little girl Poppy.
Poppy is 4 years old and was born with amniotic band syndrome; causing the pre-natal amputation of her left foot.

Poppy was born 16 weeks prematurely, weighing 1pound 10 ounces.
From the moment she took her first breath she began fighting for her little life.
My little miracle baby has overcame so much in the short 2years of her life which many people, including myself could have not even imagined.
My baby's first 4 months of life where spent in north tees NNU where she battled the odds to stay alive.
After overcoming so much In life already; all I now wish for is for her to have the same opportunities in life as all other children.

Poppy's life so far has involved 2 operations on her left leg in the hope to aid her walking; however as the NHS are very busy poppy's last operation came with a 8months waiting list and unfortunately meant that my little treasure was unable to walk for the whole 8 months.

It was last summer when poppy was most affected by this as; whilst placed on a NHS waiting list for a bone operation, she was unable to wear her prosthetic limb; leaving her disabled and unable to do all the things we take for granted.

The older Poppy gets the more detrimental it will be to her personal development for her to be immobile whist waiting for an operation.

As poppy's mammy, I find nothing more heart-breaking than seeing my little girl unable to walk and run around enjoying her childhood with all her little friends.
What we are hoping to achieve is to raise money through numerous fundraising events to help pay for poppy's next operation privately; this way my little princess will be able to have her operation as soon as it needs addressing and will not be left immobile for months on end.
Now Poppy is almost 3years old I know that the frustration not being able to walk really affects her.
I'm hoping, that with the help of many family members and sponsors that poppy will not have to face these obstacles next year and every year after.
