Sweet little Annie is Pit Crew Pit Bull Rescue's newest Rescue!
This poor sweet girl is in desperate need of help. Annie was found tethered to a tree without food, water, or shelter. She had been starved nearly to death. She was terribly emaciated and in bad shape. She was anemic due to the malnutrition and parasites she had accumulated over years of neglect. She had the one of highest intestinal parasite loads we have ever seen in a rescue dog. She had also been shot twice in her hind leg with a BB gun. We were not sure she was going to survive, but this little girl has one heck of a will to live!
Annie pulled through and is on the mend from her ordeal. Annie was rescued at a mere 33 lbs, but is steadily gaining weight. At a healthy weigh she will likely reach 50-55 lbs. Annie is Heartworm positive. Pit Crew will be providing treatment for her Heartworm disease once she is healthy enough to withstand the regimine, but the treatment for that alone is expensive. PCPBR is fundraising to raise the $3,133.99 needed to cover Annie Oakley's medical expenses- Emergency veterinary medical care, as well as Basic medical care,vaccinations and when she's healthy enough- spay and her heartworm treatment.
