Bike Statue
Donation protected
A bike statue was put in place on the bike trail in East Granby to honor a man who lost his life to cancer. He devoted much of his free time to bike riding and the maintenance of this bike route. Recently, the statue has disappeared and no-one knows why or what happened to it. The family would just like to have it back, but so far there are no leads as to its whereabouts. After airing the story on WFSB channel 3 on Friday January 17, a local resident who never met the family, started to raise funds to have this statue replaced. It is people like him who make us still believe in the goodness of others. So far $393 has been raised. We would like to meet our goal of $900 by the end of January. Please feel free to make your donations on this site so we can have the statue in place for the spring season. Thank you all in advance for your support!
