helping my dream

My name is Joy Graves and I'm 19 years old. I've been a member of my local volunteer fire department since I was 14 years old. I've already obtained my EMT-b (Emergency Medical Technician - basic) certification and am currently working on my EMT-E (Enhanced). Throughout my five years with the department, I have been drawn to the investigation side of fire-fighting, and I decided that once I graduated high school, I wanted to go to college to become an Arson Investigator/Fire Marshall.

Thanks to the outdated red tape that surrounds Financial Aide, my parent's income counts against my eligibility (and will continue to do so until I am 24), even though I no longer live at home or receive any financial support from them. I've completed one semester of college due to a generous donation from a family member, however this semester I didn't have the money to return. I need help to start again. I have a part time job and I babysit many weekends, but most of my money is spent on gas going to and from work. I'm hoping that through GoFundMe I'll be able to have enough to start again next semester.
