The Jefferson Pipe Band, Inc.

is now raising money to fund the pipe band. We are providing lessons to youth, equipment, uniform parts and some instruments. We now have a Grade 5 and Grade 4 competition band along with our parade band.

The Jefferson Pipe Band was started in the mid-1980's as the Shasta Scots Pipe Band. The name changed in the late 90's and we incorporated in 2004. The band has performed for parades and other civic functions throughout Northern California for several years under the 501(c)(3). We continue to perform at civic functions in Northern California and Southern Oregon. We perform for the Shasta Celtic Society's Annual Burns Night Supper, at various church kirkin's, at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, Shasta High School Graduations, the Anderson Rotary's Annual Wild Game Feed, multiple pubs and lounges for St. Patrick's Day, various parades in Northern California and Southern Oregon, EHS half time ceremonies, 911 ceremonies, various veterans events, and are available for hire. We are competing members of the Western US Bagpipe Association. We represented our area in Scotland in 2017. The band competed in No. Berwick, at The Bridge of Allen, and in the 2017 World Pipe Band Championships. The band also played in "Piping Live" in Glasgow, Scotland. The money raised here will help defray the expenses of travel to and from West Coast competitions, helping the youth our area learn our skills, and to help defray some of the added costs of equipment and uniforms.
