Dance Adventure to Amsterdam
This Fund is to help me fund an incredible opportunity to travel to Amsterdam this July for the JULIDANS Contemporary Dance Festival.
The
program is designed to be an intensive immersion in the world of
Contemporary Dance and an introduction to some of the most significant
dance makers currently working. At the same time it offers an
opportunity to engage in the rich cultural and historical milieu of one
of Europe's leading cities, world renown for its art museums, music, and
performing arts as well as it's centuries long history of activity at
the center of Western culture.
The two-week program is under the guidance of Stephen Pier, Director of
the Dance Division of The Hartt School, University of Hartford, who has
been a regular guest master teacher in the Netherlands since 1998.
Classes are offered through the Henny Jurriens Stichting and include
Master classes and workshops from many of the guest artists performing
at the festival.
This trip would really be such an incredible experience for me and I hope you can help me get there.
