Mindset X creates "Oceans" with YOU

We are suuuper excited to share with you the experience of creating a very special new Mindset X album called Oceans. The three of us have decided to write something a little bit out of the norm for us. A concept album revolving around the journey of an individual trapped in a never ending pursuit of happiness. This album is completely from the heart - both musically and lyrically. We are extremely dedicated to this project and have given it everything we have. It is something unique that will take YOU (the listener) on a journey through the the looking glass. Perceiving it through someone else's eyes.

WHO THE HECK IS MINDSET X?

Individualism, defiant and real. Those words have come into play when people have described Mindset X. We create the music that we love and have shared that creation with the world for over 10 years!

Mindset X has created a brand of rock that crosses boundaries. Hailing from Manchester, NH and consisting of members Steve Haidaichuk (guitar and vocals), Adam Cote (drums)and Paul Davidson (bass, keys and vocals), Mindset X creates a mix of alternative and indie rock.

WHAT THE HECK ARE WE DOING?


We have finished writing our fifth full-length album, Oceans; and in March we will begin working with Grammy Award Winning mastering engineer, Jay Frigoletto to record, produce, and mix the album. Jay has worked with artists such as: Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Nonpoint, and the X-Men 2 Soundtrack!
It takes a good amount of money to work with someone so talented and that is where we need your help to complete the dream! We want this to be a sonic masterpiece.

Why did we set the funding goal at $5,000?

This is first and foremost about making the new album. With studio time, recording, mixing, and manufacturing $5,000 is the absolute minimum that we need to raise. Jay is incredibly talented, and he is ready to record, mix, master and produce the new Mindset X album.
There is no major label marketing for this album. We will promote & tour on our own dime. Doing this album without a major record label means that there's no advance to pay for recording, and nobody to foot the bill for all of the artwork, design, manufacturing, shipping, personnel costs etc...
And that's where YOU come in.

You can show your support by acting in place of a major record label and making this album a reality. All you have to do is donate & receive some of the amazing, exclusive stuff we're offering here as rewards. Stuff that we think you'd want anyway! :-)

Wait...what happens if we raise more than $5,000?


Again, $5,000 is the absolute minimum that we need to make the new album possible. The truth is, it costs a lot more than that to do all of the traditional marketing and distribution that it takes to get an album on the shelves...and it costs even more to pack up and tour. Those expenses are why artists rely on support from a label, simply put, the more money we raise the more of that stuff we can do ourselves. Which gives us control, and will ultimately allow us to give more back to you.
Instead of asking for a large amount of money, we decided to ask for exactly what we need....

REWARDS AND HOW TO GET THEM:

For those of you who aren't that familiar with how GoFundMe works, the Rewards are the items we're offering in order to raise funds.

You can either pay the exact amount and get the reward you want or you can pay more and we'll consider the rest a donation. With the exception of the albums, all of the Rewards will be GoFundMe exclusives, which means they will only be available here on GoFundMe during the 30 days of the campaign. After the campaign is over, they will never be available again.

ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM: Oceans revolves around a journey of an individual who is trying to find ultimate happiness and is told by the world that happiness lies in material possessions. He follows the worlds advice, goes through the different stages of life and, after he has everything that was supposed to make him happy, he realizes that he is not and that life is about the journey and not the ultimate destination.
