Joining Forces to Welcome Veterans Home!

Donation protected
Our military heroes are one of this country's greatest sources of pride. They deserve our heartfelt gratitude, our praise, and any support and assistance they require.

One of the most significant challenges our country faces today is ensuring that all veterans have access to safe, decent, affordable housing. Here are some relevant statistics*:

- 21.8 million Americans are veterans.
- 2.3 million served in the post-9/11 era.
- A substantial subset of veterans struggles economically. [Approximately 1.4 million veterans (6.7%) live in poverty.]
- Permanent housing is the #1 unmet need identified by homeless veterans.

In an effort to show my gratitude for the sacrifices our military members have made for us and for our country, I have spent the last couple of years building on an idea that will provide veterans with exceptional yet affordable real estate services to assist them in obtaining their own home. I am building a network of real estate providers in every state across the country who pledge to provide the exceptional level of service our military and their families deserve, at reduced and affordable prices. The goal is to have a national network that includes every participant in the real estate process - from lenders, agents and attorneys/title companies to home insurance and moving companies - all working together to provide our veterans with the best possible service at the lowest possible cost. Ultimately, once the network is up and running, a charity will be set up that will provide grants to the veterans and their families to cover the costs associated with the purchase of their new home.

I need your help to see this project through...so we can assist these veterans and their families in realizing their dreams of homeownership.

The majority of the legwork on this project has been done, and I have contracts in place or in negotiation with several national providers, such as the VFW, who will collaborate in this effort. However, during this time I have exhausted all personal resources and favors available for this endeavor. This project has come so far and will be a such a tremendous benefit to our service members, that it would be heartbreaking were it to fail to come to fruition at this late stage. With most of the pieces in place, the only thing holding this project back from from launching at this point in time is funding.

While I have been able to secure donated office space and supplies, there are still utility and other bills that need to be paid. In addition, there is a balance owing on the build of the website module that is being created to coordinate the transactions and connect the veteran with the service providers. Finally, a small amount of legal counseling will be required to finalize some of the contracts.
