Kae Q - Natural handmade beauty

I've been selling handmade items under the name Kae Q for almost a year, and I was hoping to buy equipment to make the processes easier. However, each paycheck goes to various bills and expenses, so I have not been able to save a single penny to go toward my business.

A little about Kae Q:

I work at Bee Heaven Farm, an organic farm in Miami, where I utilize seeds and herbs to make oils for cosmetics and soaps. South Florida's climate allows for many interesting tropical plants to grow, and with Kae Q, I use that to my advantage. I collect seeds from papayas, coconuts, passionfruit, mangoes, mameyes, avocados, and press them to make oils. These are perfect as bases for many cosmetic products, like the lip balms and salves I make.




My aim has always been to make use of everything my local environment has to offer. I source from growers in the South Florida area, to maintain that promise of keeping things local.

I would love to extend my oil-making to include essential oils as well. I would love to purchase a copper still that I can stuff with organic herbs from the farm and make fragrant, volatile oils!

I also grow cotton in my yard, which hope to spin and knit into headbands. I would like to buy a spinning wheel to make the process go more quickly. Pictured below: headbands I've knit with store-bought yarn.
