What an outpouring of support Tuesday at the benefit for Dan and Laurie!!! So many people braved the winter storm to help out. Thank you!
Many more have been calling and asking if they can still help out. Please pass the word that donations are still being taken and with the funds raised Tuesday night, we are getting closer to our goal every day.
Donations can still be made at any branch of Northwestern Bank in the Traverse Cit/Suttons Bay area or here at our Go Fund Me page.
Many thanks to Alex and Hedai Horak, Lori Will and the Sirmeyer family for moving the bar closer to our next goal of $3000.
Be sure to pass the word for our fundraiser chili supper and silent auction tomorrow at Suttons Bay High School from 5:00 - 8:00 and support our Norsemen as the varsity boys battle Frankfort on the basketball court.
We've crossed the $1000 mark and we are on our way!
As the medical bills begin to surface, it is so important to help Laurie and Dan. Please share this site with your Facebook contacts and get the word out. Any amount of donation will help us meet our goal. Thank you for your support!
Laurie and Dan Sohasky are needing some help from friends and family. Dan Sohasky has been diagnosed with cancer and he and his wife have many medical expenses. A group of friends have gotten together to form "A Benefit For Dan" to help relieve some of the pressures a cancer diagnosis can bring to a family. Laurie Sohasky has been the creator of the 4-H after and before School program, Kid's Club. She has touched many families by helping parents have a safe place for latch key child care. She has specialized in helping kids and then giving them jobs as they graduate from the program and go onto college. She has touched many people's lives in Leelanau County. Laurie's husband Dan was a YMCA Soccer coach for many years and has volunteered at Suttons Bay School many times while his sons, Adam and Jason were enrolled there. Our Community is happy to get together to help the Sohasky family during this difficult time.
