Help my family with medical bills

Donation protected
Hello friends!
My name is Emily Anderson, I'm Tracie Gulit's sister. I hope you will be able to help us raise money to aid in a recent emergency medical bill for services that saved her life. Read on for the story.

The New Year is a time for looking back on what we've learned and making personal goals for the future. In 2013 I lost a dear high school friend and almost lost my sister. Both these experiences have made me keenly aware of how delicate and precious our lives are and has reminded me that we must not take our people for granted. We must help each other, and while we strive for our personal betterment, we must remember that right now, with these wonderful people in our lives, we have it pretty good.

In November, Tracie went on her daily jog with her baby girl, Madisyn. She opted to run down at a well populated park rather than the secluded trail that is also a favorite. Upon running, she felt her face and throat swelling. She realized that something was wrong and tried to get her and her daughter (in a stroller) back to her car. Before getting there, her eyes swelled shut and she was unable to see where she was going. With one hand on her stroller she held out her arm and called for help. Some passersby helped her to a bench and called 911. They soothed her and told her that her daughter was safe until EMS arrived. They arrived just as her throat swelled shut and she began to go unconscious. The firemen took her car keys and drove her daughter (safely in her carseat) after the ambulance.

Tracie later learned that she has developed a nut allergy in combination with exercise, after decades of eating a healthy regimen of nuts daily. She will have to have mutilple follow up appointments with specialists and testing to come up with a safe plan to continue to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

We are so grateful to the strangers that knew what to do but also who sat with Tracie to console her as she was blind, speechless, fearful for herself but also her daughter's safety. We are thankful for the Emergency service's promptness. We are thankful for the shear luck that Tracie decided to run at a well populated park that particular day. I am amazed and I shudder to think what might have happened if just one of those blessings had not occurred.

There is so much to be grateful for, even upon receipt of the crushing medical bill for EMS care and days in recovery.
We hope that by donating some money, however small, we will be able to take a large chunk off Tracie's shoulders. They are just starting a new life in a new city, with new jobs, and your help would give them a better start.

Hug your people, and please give today.
