Craig has been leatherworking for over a decade now. Without any formal training or education he's been able to achieve worldwide recognition. But with every piece he creates, he only see the flaws and it keeps driving him to hone his skills and get better at his craft. In 2004 he established Firehouse Leather .
Leathersmithing is a uniquely American art form and the master level leather workers are a dying breed. Craig went to a trade show in 2012 and was amazed by some of the people he got to meet and learn from. He then made it his goal to visit Jesse Smith of jessesmithsaddlery.com and soak up as much knowledge as possible.
In order to visit Jesse and be able to learn from one of the best, it's going to take a little more capital than he has available. This once in a lifetime journey will require $2000 to cover tuition and meager travel expenses.

A fireman by trade, Craig found an interesting way to blend the tough & rugged job he loved with a uniquely American craft.
