When we were first told about the mission trip to NY, I remember how excited I was. And then time passed and my questions and doubts started to set in.... Do I want to fly? What if something happens to me on the plane? Can I be safe in NY? What if something happens to me in NY? How will I travel around? Can I speak clearly enough the Gospel Message? Don't I get tongue-tied a lot?, etc... etc...
Then I realized something... how many times I was saying "I" and "me."
God got this. And I need to remember that. He handles His work - but He uses our availability.
So I made this profound self-mission-NY statement: Kathleen, Let Go and Let God!
So my excitement jumped up, and I am ready to go. (I won't lie - still a little nervous, but not enough to doubt God.)
There are a lot of people in NY - and many of them are unchurched, and have never heard the Gospel at all. And I'm excited about being a part of this team willing to go and share.
