When your child becomes sick you do everything you can to help them get better. When your child becomes REALLY sick your world simply stops. Nothing else matters. --Nor should it. Sweet little Jonna Burgess is in the fight of her life as she battles to get back to the fun-loving life she had with her twin brother Derek only weeks ago.
John and Donna are loving, practical parents, full of hope and faith but are also realistic about the incredibly high mountain their daughter has to climb. They've been amazing advocates, ensuring Jonna's getting the best care possible and is as comfortable in her journey.
John and Donna are devoting 24 hours a day to being at Jonna's side. They are not working and have given their two dogs to a friend to take care of. I know if any of us were faced with this situation we would want to be free of daily worry and just focus simply on supporting our child.
