Help Rebuild the Aram Learning Studio

The Aram Learning Studio, a center for special children is joining the entire Tacloban community in rising from the calamity that is Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda.
This December, as an act of gratitude that we survived alive, the Studio will conduct Psychosocial Fist Aid , and Debriefing to children from around the villages of Tacloban, and other schools. The aims is to help the children deal, and process their experience through art, play, and by sharing sessions.
The Aram Learning Studio seeks to restart operation in January 2014. The studio seeks to give back the livelihood of its teachers, that they may be able to start rebuilding their lost homes, bit by bit from the income they will get by teaching again.
As a school that caters to children with special needs, it is of utmost importance, that the children are given their intervention programs as soon as possible to avoid regression and loss of previously learned skills.
In as much as the school would want to operate soonest, it is saddled by the financial situation of repairing the school from the damage of the typhoon. Further, the school understands that it cannot collect tuition fee from the parents of their students, who are themselves victims .
As such, the school is looking for help, by raising funds to pay for the a.) cost of repair, and purchase of educational materials, and the b.) salary of teachers for a minimum of 12 months.
The school will operate without collecting tuition fee from its students for 12 months, therefore we need your help to fund our operation.
We want to continue helping our community of families with special children by continuing with the special education intervention of their children, without the burden of tuition fees. We know that these families are in the process of recovering everything they have lost to Haiyan/Yolanda , houses, livelihoods, even loved ones.
The funds raised will aid in the recovery of The Aram Learning Studio, the livelihood of its teachers, and the continued education of its students without the burden of fee from the parents who are still facing the bigger cost of starting their lives over again.
