Jamaica Service Trip

January I will be leading a service trip to Kingston, Jamaica with a team of
eleven other Fairfield University students and two Fairfield University staff
members. From January 3-13th we will be participating in service
immersion programs throughout Kingston, Jamaica.
To prepare for this experience, our team has been meeting weekly to discuss important background information related to the issues that we'll be learning about first hand while on the trip. During these weekly meetings, we've also come together to better understand one another in order to build community among those of us involved in the experience. Beyond the realm of these weekly meetings we have participated in various fundraising events and activities around the Fairfield community.
I'm sharing this with you because this experience is very important to me. Part of our team's collective responsibility is to include others in our experience, which is where you come in. To make this experience a reality, I must raise $600.00. By donating towards this trip, you are investing in this experience and in essence are joining me along the way. Any contribution you might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.
I will be carrying with me all the people who have been a source of support and wisdom in my life. Please know that you will be with me throughout this journey, and I look forward to sharing stories of what I learn with you upon returning. As I mentioned, this experience is very important to me, and so are you, and this is why I'm sharing this with you.
