South Strand Food Place

Why give to to the "Food Place"? Because there are hungry families across Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is primarily a tourist destination and we're thankful for everyone of them. But the winter months are slow and many people have to have two jobs to make it. But in the last four years those winter jobs have disappeared and it has become increasingly difficult to pay the bills. So the "Food Place" exists to help families with groceries. This year we have seen the number of families increase to over 300 each week. That's where you come in: we don't have enough to provide for that many until the need decreases in March. We need money to buy groceries. For every $10 someone gives us we can purchase $150 of can goods, frozen meat, vegetable and boxed foods to distribute to those in need. Every family who receives help meets the USDA and FICA standards for assistance. Thank you for whatever you can do.
