Easing The Burden Of An Angel

I’m writing this on behalf of a dear friend of mine who is a true angel. She has done so much for so many when she has so little herself. Now her family needs OUR help. She has really stepped up and helped us with our infant daughter who suffers from seizures and been a true advocate for her and now we want to do the same. Her husband Jesse was just diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. It is in the media stinum near the lungs and has spread to vocal chords, perodid gland and has now reached his brain. His outlook is not good at all. They live on SSDI and so money is always tight. They have 2 adult kids who work but have their own bills they have to pay, and two younger boys 16 and almost 15. They are all trying to deal with this fresh diagnosis. There is no life insurance and my friend’s husband is scared and upset that he doesn’t have money to even bury himself. He is a Veteran and is being treated at Dallas VA Hospital, and will be having countless trips to and from the VA which is at least an hour away. Claudia, our Angel, suffers from severe anxiety and does not feel like she is strong enough to face this alone. Let's show her she's not alone. I know times are tough for everyone, but please, if you can find it in your heart to help, even $1 helps. We are trying to raise money to alleviate some of the financial burden/stress on the family. Be it for bills, gas money to Dallas VA, grocery money, or final expenses, we need to help them somehow. I realize that there are so many others out there with equally tragic stories, but this is for someone who is always there for everyone else. Claudia is the first to help anyone else out. Now OUR ANGEL needs help. Even if you cannot donate, please share this.
CURRENT UPDATE: Jesse has been home on hospice for 11 weeks now. When he was discharged from the Dallas VA, the doctors gave him weeks to month(s). He has hung on so far, but it isn't easy. Their two youngest boys are back in school, and as you know, teenage boys grow like weeds. Claudia is trying to keep them in clothes/shoes, Jesse as happy as he can be. The GoFundMe money that has been donated so far, has helped keep them going. It has paid for cemetary plots, some of the final expenses, as well as a recliner that can help Jesse get to his feet, (the standing kind).They have been able to make some house repairs that were desperately needed. It has kept some of the stress off of them, because bills dont care if you are going through a battle.
On top of Jesse being sick, Claudia's Mom is almost 90 and her health is failing too. Claudia is torn between needing to be there for Jesse as his primary caretaker, and wanting to be 4 hours away to see her Mom on occasion, before God calls her home. In other words, there is still a huge need by this family, and I really hope that those who read this will feel the need to help them, even if you may have already helped. Claudia is an amazing person. She still, during all of her trials right now, is there for my family and for anyone else who needs to talk, an hug, or anything she can do to help. An example of Claudia's heart is the fact that there is a stray dog in the front of her area, and she knows she cannot afford to take another animal into her house, but she stops and feeds it. She really would give the clothes of her back to help anyone. So please, PLEASE if you can help them out, please do so. Final expenses, and living expenses, especially with cold weather coming and Jesse always being cold, as well as the two teenage growing boys are not easy. And this isn't even taking into consideration the holidays approaching and her wanting to keep things as "normal" as possible for her kids. This is just for her, trying to survive.
