Ethiopia Trip, March 2014

I'm so excited! I am finally going back to Ethiopia! Please consider partnering with me! I am trying to connect with the Hamlin Fistula Hospital and their patients who now have an ostomy like me! When I was there in 2011, I had an incredibly hard time seeing so many women there, many younger than me. My heart broke for them. But I have now realized that they were in the best place possible to get their lives back! The social stigma of having an ostomy here is hard enough, but in a culture that doesn't understand it makes it a lot harder. I want to love on these women as I have been loved throughout the whole process of surgery and getting used to my "new normal."
