Dexcom G4 Continuous Glucose Monitor

I have type 1 diabetes and would like to purchase a continuous glucose monitor which isn't paid for by insurance. This would help me detect the lows I don't feel and help me better control and manage my blood sugar. The $1840 would pay for the starter kit which includes the receiver/remote, a box of sensors and the transmitter.
