Million Woman March for Endometriosis NY

<[email redacted]><[email redacted]><[email redacted]><[email redacted]><[email redacted]>We have been chosen as volunteer delegates to represent New York on March 13th, 2014, in Washington, D.C., for the Million Woman March for Endometriosis. This movement seeks to raise awareness about endometriosis, a disorder that affects approximately 176 million women and girls worldwide. Endometriosis often causes symptoms such as extremely painful periods, chronic and disabling pelvic pain, and subfertility/infertility. In severe cases, endometriosis can even metastasize throughout the body and cause multiple organ failures.

<[email redacted]><[email redacted]><[email redacted]><[email redacted]><[email redacted]>Despite these potentially incapacitating symptoms, those suffering from endometriosis remain undiagnosed for an average of approximately 8-9 years, a delay that can lead to severe medical consequences. This is why we must travel to Washington, D.C., next year, so that we can help educate legislators, health professionals, and the general public about the devastating effects that such delayed diagnoses and improper or inadequate treatments can have on people's lives.
