Performing at 70th Anniversary of D-Day

Hi. My name is Kaitlyn Parks. I am 14 years old and I am in the Texas Children's Choir. I have been in the choir for 4 years and have been able to perform at some wonderful locations including the Texas State Capitol in Austin; the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, on the steps at the Capitol building, the National Gallery of Art, and at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.; and at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

I have an awesome opportunity to go with the Texas Children's Choir to sing at the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion in June 2014. We have been invited by the French government to come perform at their ceremony. We will also be performing for the American ceremony at the National Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. While we are in France, we will also have the opportunity to perform at Notre Dame Cathedral.

My dad will be going with me as a chaperone for the choir. He has served in the Army for 24 years and loves history. He is really excited about the opportunity to visit the D-Day beaches and the cemetery. Please help me and my dad make it to Normandy. Thank you very much.
