Help the Youth in Tanzania

Tanzania ranks 152 out of 187 in the worlds poorest countries, according to per capita income (PPP). Tanzania draws in 1,600$ USD, compared to 41,200$ USD in Canada. The UN has set Millennium Development Goal (MDG) to help Tanzania grow to its full potential.
However, the number of those living below the poverty line has increased due to rapid population growth. The youth (15-24) represent 53.3% of the unemployed. As a result, it is unlikely Tanzania will reach the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
But... There is hope.
With your generous contributions, programs in Tanzania can be developed to better suit their welfare. Through youth empowerment programs, they get the chance to develop themselves in community development projects, environmental programs, and positively contribute to their family, community, and develop an overall improvement in life.
My name is Ian and I'll be participating through a wonderful company called Youth Challenge International based out of Toronto, Canada who works closely with Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), which helps in addressing the recommendations set out by the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
Working with local volunteer groups, I'll be participating in:
Organizing community events such as a Community Health Care Day or Sports Days to involve and reach out to the community at large. These events may include activities around World AIDS Day or International Women's Day.
To
Coordinating and work alongside local youth in the delivery of workshops. Topics range from the HIV/AIDS to employability.
Among many other programs. Through these programs aim is to progress the UN Millennium Development Goals.
