5th Annual ThanksGIVING Food Drive

This year's food drive is going local! We've partnered with a few beloved local businesses to raise food and funds for our drive, which benefits the Rescue Mission here in Tacoma. Last year alone, we donated over 1,000 pounds of food to the Mission, which provides food and shelter to homeless and hungry folks in our community every day of the year. With your food and monetary donations, we hope to beat that record this year! The actual food drive will take place (as always) the Saturday before Thanksgiving - this year that's Nov. 23rd. Between now and then, we have some awesome events that you can take part in!

In addition to the events, personal donation picks ups, and the drive itself on Nov. 23rd, we've also decided to try GoFundMe for monetary donations. Previously, we've accepted cash and the occasional PayPal donation, but we want to make it as easy as possible for folks to lend a hand. Your funds will be used on our shopping day, Nov. 23rd, as Karin and I scour local grocery stores for the best deals. In the past, some stores have also helped out with additional discounts, and we're hoping to work out a few more of those special deals before we head out on the 23rd. Since it will take a few business days to receive funds from GoFundMe, we expect to withdraw donations on Nov. 15th. Any funds received via GoFundMe that cannot be withdrawn in time for the food drive will be provided directly to the Rescue Mission: http://www.rescue-mission.org/



On to the events!
Nov. 7th, 14th, and 21st: Join us for trivia night at The Office on Pacific! We'll be raffling off goodie baskets each night which will include swag and gift cards for The Office. 7pm-9pm every Thursday until ThanksGIVING!

Nov. 22nd: We're throwing a benefit show at Northern Pacific Coffee Company (NPCC)! Come out for a night of fantastic music from some local favorites. We'll have a gift basket from Boston Harbor Marina to raffle off, full of local goodies! Bring cash and non-perishables! 8pm-10pm, artists TBA (everybody loves a surprise!)

Need a local drop-off spot for your donations? Cosmonaut Coffee will be happy to accept your non-perishables and sell you a ticket for our Boston Harbor Marina Gift Basket. Stop in between Nov. 17th and Nov. 22nd!

Need a personal donation pick up? We can come to you to pick up food and funds on Friday, Nov. 22nd. Sent me a message on Facebook to set up a time and place.
