Resurection and Redemption Custom Motorworks

Hello, my name is Don. I had a nice motorcycle shop in Anchorage, Alaska for nearly 4 years. It was profitable and fun. However, it was very slow in winter, as you can imagine. So I sought to expand my business, and came up with a great business plan, and added two partners in order to come up with the capital to fund the new enterprise. Unfortunately, even though I knew the main "money" guy/partner for 30 years, he turned out be be unscrupulous and caused us to lose everything. I had 120k dollars invested in my business- and lost it all in one night, due to the one partner not fulfilling his portion of the contract. It was one of the worst days in my life. I lost my house, my car, and custody of my two older children, and my best friend, who has since past on, on what should have been a sure bet. In fact, the business plan was great- the company that took our place is making hundreds of thousands, if not millions, in revenue now.
However, though I lost so many material possessions, I did not lose some of the most important aspects of that business. I still know how to build kick butt, cool, unique and practical low-cost custom motorcycles. I also still have 90% of the tools in storage, in Alaska, to allow me to re-open the business. I stored 15 motorcycles that were in various stages of construction, not ready to be sold, before I left Alaska.
I may have been kicked and stomped down- but I am not out!
Due to the loss of my house and so many other material aspects of my life, I took refuge in the only option I had; my Mom's empty vacation house in Pahoa, Hawaii. Heck, if your going to be broke, might as well do it in paradise, right? I also left all the painful memories of my failure in Alaska, and have vowed to start anew in Hilo, Hawaii.
This is where Gofundme comes into play. I need to ship the tools in that shop from Alaska, to Hawaii. Prices on shipping and a shipping container fluctuate nearly weekly, but it will cost between 7500-10000 dollars to ship the entire contents of my storage, parts metal, tools etc to Hawaii.

My fundraising will be in three stages, with each stage allowing me to move faster to the next. As the tools arrive, I will start building and working right out of the shipping container to start creating new capital.
That is the first phase of my fundraising. Once I get to 10000, the shop is on it's way to Hawaii.

The next 10000 dollars allows me to get the "seed" money I need in parts to build the bikes in storage and start selling motorcycles, which is the best form of marketing and advertising for this business. Showing off sexy bikes, and what you can do, has been an awesome way of building up the business from the ground floor. So, in a way, building bikes kills two birds with one stone. It allows me to sell bikes, create revenue, but is also my marketing and advertising campaign.

The next 10000 dollars allows me to actually set up a commercial space shop. There is quite a bit of overhead in Hilo, Hawaii to get into commercial space, and this is bare bones estimate for me to set up shop and get established in the local business community.

I am still perusing the rules on gofundme, and will have to find out if this is okay; I want to give away my "steampunk" chopper, a totally unique concept never seen before in a chopper, at least by me, anywhere. Fully functional, easy to ride, safe, but with all steampunk design throughout. If the rules allow me, I would like to create a "ticket" for each 10$ raised for each donor. When I have reached my 30k goal, I would like to randomly draw that ticket, and give the bike to the lucky donor. I will crate the bike for free, you would have to pay shipping to wherever you live. It would be around 900 bucks to LA if I recall correctly. Every 10$ donation generates a ticket. You donate 100$- you get 10 tickets, no matter what.

I have the frame of the steam punk bike already built, and the engine installed. There is lots of custom work to be done, but I can have it done within 6 months after receiving the shop tools from Alaska and about 2500 dollars more of the "phase two" 10000 dollars. That will go directly into the equipment and parts needed to finish the steampunk bike. It will have a copper tank, and powdercoated parts to look like brass, copper and chrome details. The other details are Steam-locomotive red and black.
I will post an almost-artist rendition of what the final bike will look like, plus some photos of the frame as it is now, and some riding pics.

I am talking too much about motorcycles. I live and breath them, sorry.
In reality, I am a single dad with custody of a 4 year old, trying to rebuild my life after a devastating financial set back. What makes it hurt even worse is that the idea was good, up to the point that I took on a shifty partner.
I have renamed this business " Resurrection and Redemption Custom Motorworks" on my official tax stamp (what the call a business license in Hawaii) but we will call it "R&R customs" for short.
Why the name? Because that is what this is- a Resurrection of a business, a family and a new home. Redemption? A redemption for the failure of a sound business brought low by nefarious, um things. I appreciate your support, and if this is successful, I will create higher levels of rewards for donations over what I listed already.

I will need to raise 30,000 dollars to make all this happen for the total business plan. However, I really don't need to start at this level. I have a skill set and good health, so all I need to begin is a TIG welder from Everlast to start raising my own capital. So, I will raise capital in increments. This welder is 849.00 on amazon, and approximately 150.00 to ship to Hawaii.
