Friends, Family, and Community Members,
Let me tell you a little about Team Naeshawn. Team Naeshawn was formed in October only a few short hours after it was discovered that our dear friend and colleague Latoya Allen's son Naeshawn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and had a mass discovered on his Brain as well as his Kidney. He was immediately admitted to the hospital to determine the most aggressive and safe treatment. Naeshawn is not Latoya's only child, she is also the mother of two wonderful little girls, Jourdanae- 5 years old, and Journei- 1 year old who are standing by their brother and mommy the best they can. Latoya is a single mother and works two jobs but will soon have to take a leave of absence; while she does have insurance it will not cover all of the medical bills and all the other expenses' she incurs while being a wonderful mother of three beautiful children.
We are planning a silent auction, raffle, and dinner, along with a few other fundraisers' and are looking for donations of funds, items to raffle or auction and anything that could help this mother in her time of need. When we say Team Naeshawn we are a team of people who love him and the family and want to help anyway we can. While our economy is not doing so well at the moment, no donation is too large or too small.
We will keep you up to date on when the events are taking place and where you can find your donated items for a raffle or auction and again please help us with helping this family. We love her and her children dearly!
