Barsky the Sled Dog Needs Help

Donation protected
Barsky, the sweetest 4 yr old sled dog ever came into my life almost a year ago. He was in training for the Iditarod but just wasn't into the long distances required of an Iditarod dog. I brought him home to live with me and the other members of my small dog team ( all also are retired from the racing scene ) we run for fun and give rides to people that want to learn about mushing. Barsky didn't seem as though he felt well this spring so I took him to the doggy Doctors to have him checked out. He was diagnosed as having an illness called Perianal Fistulas usually something found in German Shepard's, Barsky is an Alaskan Husky with no Shepard blood lines. There is no fix but medicine can keep him comfortable for as long as his body can hold up, BUT it is so expensive! There lies the problem I don't know how I'm going to afford it long term. He takes 2 sometimes 3 different medicines a day depending on how he's feeling, the main one is uber expensive and is the most vital one to his well being, plus also being on a special diet.

I love this face...you would too!

If you would be able to help, we thank you. If you aren't able to we understand things are tight for everyone these days but please pass his story along, follow him on Facebook ( he has some grand adventures ) and just stop in and say Hi.

Thank you taking the time to read this and we wish you a howling Good Day!
